Two of the most common climate misconceptions I see, even among knowledgeable folks, are that (1) most people aren't worried about climate change, and (2) if they were, they'd act.

Today, I joined a rich book club discussion on "After Geoengineering" with the wonderful author Holly Buck. I appreciate the humanity lens when approaching such topics on climate intervention. Scientists and decision-makers should adopt this approach more often

Being a bit cheeky, reposting the paper that Shobha Maharaj, Gretta Pecl & I wrote last month to underscore that as scientists/researchers working on climate change, we can be upset and still continue to do our work - in fact, the distress might make our work better. www.nature.com/articles/s41...
