Text: our second day kicked off with a mega panel in which Sanjana Ramanathan talked to us about how we might rethink timelines against nationalism… Text: the first panel was expertly chaired by the OU’s Christine Plastow Text: We also heard from Obert Mlambo on the Roman Empire as an organising metaphor in Zimbabwe as well as many other brilliant scholars. Text: We finished the day with a roundtable on ‘The Future of the Society for the Study of the Past’ and we are looking forward to putting those ideas into practice next!

In response to the UN Special Rapporteur on Occupied Palestine listing archaeology as part of apartheid's "ideological scaffolding," we're holding an emergency meeting tomorrow (4 July).

The meeting will take place at 7pm UK time (9pm Gaza).
