Following in the, kind of, footsteps of Lemn Sissay, when he completed his Dentdale winter walk on the #BBC. Here's some of the poetry from the programme, and landscapes that featured in the episode... but the jam in the church is now £2.50 a jar.

Space blossomed with flowers the stars had sown,
Woven through heaven’s tapestry with grace;

A blissful light poured where the dark had grown,
And two long-wandering echoes found one place.

If you see a tweet on here that has, say, 42 likes, do you suddenly feel a little guilty liking it yourself, thus meaning their like tally becomes a prime number? A horrid, unrounded, demonic number. Cos if you don't, you definitely should

The thing is, I don't like cycling, bicycles, or bike riding. Yet I find, strangely, that there is always a cycling post on my discover feed... despite my never showing any interest in the activity. Literally, none whatsoever. Why? Is bluesky obsessed with cycling, or does it just think I am?

Had no idea it was a thing, but it appears to be #225day, in celebration of the great loco. Thanks for informing me of this marvellous occasion, bluesky 😀🚄

Another wonderful walk around the English countryside. This time on the Essex/Suffolk border. A 7 mile walk around the Parish of Great Henney, a fab lasagne at the Lemarsh Lion, and followed up.with, appropriately, a bottle of Henney's #cider

I've always been on board with political parties having a presence at pride. But I do agree with this decision. #transrightsarehumanrights and unless these parties are on board with that, what right do they have a space at pride? Labour's stance has been appalling, I'm glad I'm not with them anymore
🌈 No Pride in hollow promises

Organisers of Pride in London, Manchester, Brighton & Birmingham have banned all political parties, including Labour, from marching this year.

Unless trans rights are urgently defended, they’re out.

💥 Trans solidarity means action!
Labour and other political parties banned from four biggest UK Prides
Political parties, including Labour, the Conservatives, the Greens and the Lib Dems, have been banned from four major Pride events in the UK.

Nature showing us there's usually no rules ... no this OR that. Which means all solar systems are unique. Or perhaps, quirky 😜 Why behave when you can do your own thing? I'm looking forward to seeing other quirks that Nature will provide in shaping the billions of soar systems out there 😀

Another #BeautifulEngland post. Taken again from the majestic #AshridgeEstate. Hard climbs, carpets of Bluebells, panoramic views from #IvinghoeBeacon. To reward aching muscles, a hot bath and a jolly good #Westons cider. A perfect day

Beautiful #England part two 😊 the blossom on the trees has been quite something in 2025, and as well as that, the blue carpet of bluebells at the #Ashridgeestate is stunning 😍

Yep, just this 👌
He’s got away with untold crimes, lies & offences. He’s achieved the highest office in the land. Twice. He’s lining his pockets on an industrial scale & persecuting his enemies for fun. But he’s still a miserable, bitter, humourless & furious man. Because deep inside, he knows *exactly* who he is.

Beautiful #England, and because we haven't had much, if any rain in Eastern England, the blossom is still prevalent in the trees, which looks utterly stunning. Really loving this #Spring2025

Good on the @goodlawproject.bsky.social for intending to fight a ruling brought about with prejudice as a starting point. I'm glad someone is considering the very real needs of those on the receiving end of this.

I find the image of JK Rowling "celebrating" with her cigar on her yacht truly repugnant. Not even an ounce of compassion for trans women (some of whom won't have two brass farthings to rub together) who are going to feel totally dehumanised because of the ruling. What about them, Rowling?

I'm still sceptical. But this is nonetheless startling news and tremendously exciting. How would society react, though? Can humanity handle not being alone in the dark?
