here's one, if u have thin hair it can make it look fuller/add volume& if u (like me) have short hair u can take a layer at a time and cut it individually like in the picture. tbh the diagrams make it look a little more complicated than it is (and then for bangs you just do this but in the front)

i think side swept bangs would look really good! if you're not comfortable cutting your own hair yet you might be able to ask someone else to add some layers and trim off a Little bit, so it looks fuller. friends of mine have shorter side-swept bangs and they totally rock em

here's a step-by-step of cutting curtain bangs that i found, you can see in step 7 she cuts inward at a bit of a diagonal, so it would be something like that

the first one would be trimming/cutting upwards, and the second would be going across. i personally have like wavy/fine hair so whenever i cut directly across (like in 2nd pic) it ends up sticking straight up like pippy longstocking lolol
