Ceramic artist, cycling fan, mom of teenagers and two dogs, always on the look out for the cupworthy and moments of inspiring humanity and beauty
Oh Giro, a million and more thanks for the beautiful story. It has been a lifeboat in stormy news waters and a reminder of the good and the beauty in the world; of the humanity, the kindness and the heart and soul that fills our lives with meaning. I am so, so grateful for ALL of it.

My family lost a beloved dog, Polo, to lymphoma as well so, Bode's story hits home. It is so hard to say goodbye to these souls that add so much love to our lives. I found and still find comfort in the fact that having Polo in our lives made us all better humans. Sending you an empathetic hug.

ETSY SHOP UPDATE:
Oh my, today’s Giro stage was an absolute gift to the soul.

ALL the love for a winning, smiling Wout van Aert, for Mads Pedersen resplendent in Ciclamino and for every minute of this stage.

OK, @magnussheffield.bsky.social , this stage win and this interview hit me right in the heart.

You deserve a cup. I would love, love, to get one in your hands.

Bravo for a beautiful victory and even more beautiful humanity.

I wrote and posted this in November. It's even more true now.

It's the mocking, the name calling, the blatant and shameless lying, the cheering for suffering from the purposeful and inept chaos that’s meant to cause trauma, hurt real families, our neighbors, our fellow Americans, our fellow humans.
March 5, 2025 at 1:59 PM
Agreed. Heart and humanity are always more engaging.

BTW- I was in Spain last week and sat down at a cafe next to this guy. I thought you would appreciate it.

Coffee and a good CX race to watch is a much needed distraction this morning.

Hoo boy, this is BAD. SO BAD.

This is an appreciation post for all the good in the world.
For the ones that show up for you, that connect, are curious and thoughtful, seek joy and share it generously.

There really can not be enough gratitude expressed for it- especially today and moving forward into uncertain times.

I made it to a very happy place. Spain, sunshine, dear friends, the smell of the sea, a bike race (CX on Sunday), pro teams all over the place.

Grateful to be here for the next week and for all the happy places. Hold on to them.

Making a gingerbread project each year based on an inspiring event or meaningful place is a tradition.

This year I was inspired by the bike race in Quebec City where I stood with dearest friends on this hill and cheered on cupworthy riders.

I woke up this morning (after a not usual poor night of sleep) to this IG post by one of the loveliest human beings, @sportsorla.bsky.social.

It filled my soul in every way that it needed to be filled.

And, yes, she’s drinking her coffee out of a cup I made her. 🫶

I don't have enough characters to name all the cups awarded but some recent and significant cupworthy humans are: @tomashuuns.bsky.social, Pello Bilbao, Matej Morhoric, @sportsorla.bsky.social, Romain Bardet, Sam Brand and Kasia Newiadoma.

It fills my soul with happiness.

I've also been making cups for @thecyclingpodcast.bsky.social since 2019 and raising money for charities that do good deeds.

I love the story of bike races- the history, the beautiful settings and the way good people like The Cycling Podcast bring texture and detail to that story.

First post here in the land of blue skies.

I'm a ceramic artist and cycling fan that makes cups to recognize kindness, courage, generosity and good human beings. Luckily there is a lot of that in the cycling world so many cups have found their way into the hands of the cupworthy.
