The Senate Republicans’ tax plan would add nearly $3.3 trillion to the federal deficit over the next decade. It was never about “saving money”.

Uphold congressional war powers authority, avert new Iran war
Text SIGN PLKIGI to 50409 — The rapid escalation of military conflict between Israel and Iran is alarming, with both sides launching strikes against nuclear and military sites. While the G7 nations have urged de-escalation, President Trump's inflammatory rhetoric and actions like shifting military assets to the region are dangerously raising tensions.   This situation bears troubling parallels to the buildup to the 2003 Iraq War - questionable justifications, claims about weapons of mass destruction, and aspirations for regime change in Iran.   Congress must reassert its constitutional authority over matters of war and peace. Support the bipartisan war powers resolutions (S.J.Res. 59 in the Senate and H.Con.Res. 38 in the House) to prevent further U.S. military involvement in this conflict without explicit congressional approval. As Senator Tim Kaine stated, "The American people have no interest in sending service members to fight another forever war in the Middle East."   Unilateral executive action risks entangling the U.S. in an unnecessary, costly, and destabilizing new war. Uphold Congress' war powers responsibilities and block unauthorized hostilities against Iran.

just so we’re all clear: the reason they keep using dolls as their example is because they’re trying to frame caring about material stuff as feminine and thus inherently shameful
Bessent says that little girls who are sad about having fewer dolls should just have it explained to them that they will have a better life for it

Reject Trump Regime's amoral and fiscally irresponsible murder budget
Text SIGN PXKWVO to 50409 — The current budget proposal before Congress is an assault on two fronts: it is nothing short of a devastating assault on the well-being of ordinary Americans, and it is a reckless giveaway to corporations and the wealthy that will explode the deficit by $1.5 trillion over the next decade.   Donald Trump yelled at congressmen today that they shouldn’t “f*ck around with Medicaid.” We all have to be very clear the MAGA murder budget does plenty of “f*cking around” with this crucial health program, and 7.6 million middle-income and working Americans are set to “find out” and become uninsured to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. The worst price will be paid by children and seniors in nursing homes who rely on this program. And that’s just the beginning – in total 14 million people will lose health insurance coverage under the MAGA murder budget.   Equally alarming is the defunding of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, an agency designed to shield consumers from predatory financial practices. This move leaves millions vulnerable to exploitation by unscrupulous corporations. Moreover, the proposal callously rolls back the Inflation Reduction Act's crucial climate initiatives, a reckless disregard for the urgent need to address the existential threat of climate change.   Further compounding the harm, draconian cuts to SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) threaten to deprive millions of low-income families and individuals of basic food security, exacerbating poverty and hunger. The partisan attack on federal regulations is yet another misguided effort that endangers public health, safety, and environmental protections that safeguard us all.   Perhaps most egregiously, the proposed measures seek to undermine the judiciary's ability to hold the previous administration accountable for its transgressions, subverting the very foundations of our system of checks and balances.   This fiscally irresponsible proposal provides minimal relief to middle-class families while overwhelmingly benefiting the top 1% of earners. It's a brazen attempt to enrich donors and special interests at the expense of hard-working Americans. According to the non-partisan Tax Policy Center, around 50% of the plan's benefits go to the top 5% of taxpayers. The richest 1% alone receive a windfall tax cut worth over $61 billion in 2018. Meanwhile, nearly 30% of middle-class Americans would face a tax increase by 2027. Corporate tax rates would plummet from 35% to 20%, adding over $1 trillion to deficits over a decade with no guarantees employers will use the windfalls to create jobs or raise wages as supporters claim. History shows corporations are far more likely to buy back shares and increase executive compensation.   Congress must reject this indefensible giveaway that balloons deficits while failing most Americans.

If a foreign adversary snuck into our Federal budget and cut science research and education the way we’re cutting it ourselves — strategically undermining America’s long-term health, wealth, and security — we would likely consider it an act of war.

Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” is 1,116 pages long so bloated with additions it’s barely about budget reconciliation anymore. The goal? Make it so long and dense that no one reads it. We broke down part of it this weekend and are working on more. Updates coming soon.

No sir, you are the embarrassment.
Trump continues his attacks on the press this time gaslighting an ABC News reporter who asked about the ethics of accepting a nearly half-billion-dollar luxury jet from Qatar for free. Instead of answering, he told her she should be “embarrassed” for even asking.

The Trump admin is fast-tracking a uranium mine in Utah by slashing the permitting process to 14 days, bypassing environmental review and cutting the public out entirely. Projects like this are supposed to go through NEPA, the law that requires environmental impact assessments and public comment.

This administration will go to any length to ensure the American public has zero transparency. Now, senior Justice Department officials are invoking executive privilege to block a dismissed lawyer from testifying before Congress — all in an effort to intimidate whistleblowers and suppress the truth.

Government abductions are unconstitutional.

Denying anyone the right to due process in America is unconstitutional.

If you’ve rationalized your silence or support for any of it because it’s happening to those you disagree with, give it a minute…

They’ll get to you soon enough.
