I LOVE MY ENORMOUS SCALE
Bizarre product photo advertising a two-in-one digital/analog scale. The scale is badly photoshopped into the cradling arms of a beatific white woman in a white sweater. The scale photo is out of proportion, larger than her entire rib cage. She snuggles it like a beloved infant, oblivious to all else in the world. Here's a piece of art I made recently, as a gratitude gift for my piano teacher. It's a stenciled acrylic pour painting, done using a technique I developed myself.
Stenciled acrylic pour painting. The stencil design is a row of piano keys running vertically down the side, taking up about half of the space. The "white" keys show the bottom layer pour, which is bright swirls of green and yellow and blue and magenta, with lots of bubbly little "cell" shapes. The black keys, and the negative space on the right side of the canvas, are a much darker top layer pour with the same colors swirled within.
