I saw Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery yesterday, and it’s damn good. Great plotting and pacing and incredible job by the entire cast. It’s worth a trip to the theater. Don’t wait for Netflix.

Just hit the half way point and had that wonderful epiphany we love, when the rest of the story revealed itself to me in one fell swoop. That “ah ha,” moment is worth all the imposter syndrome.

Happy pub day to @allymalinenko.bsky.social and the release of BROKEN DOLLS. Mine shipped today. Looking forward to seeing what’s hidden within this incredible cover. It feels like we’ve been waiting AGES! So excited to get my hands on it.

Happy birthday to @stephenking.bsky.social thank you for everything you’ve given. You’re the gift to the rest of the world. And everyone go see THE LONG WALK. Here’s an afar shot when I got to meet him at BookPeople back in 2014.

This isn't a joke. This statue now resides on the mall in DC. Christians, isn't there something in the book you claim to follow about this type of thing? I mean it's right at the front so it's hard to miss. In fact, Texas and other states are trying to force 9 more of those rules in our schools.

So Disney in their infinite wisdom are capitulating to fascist control of the media and suppression of the 1st Amendment? Because that always leads to more freedom?

THE LONG WALK is amazing and tremendous. But I sobbed multiple times throughout. Maybe I’m a bit overly emotional or maybe its content is just so RIGHT for the America we suffer in right now; but it is a brilliant, brutal watch.

One of my most anticipated books of the year is released today. I'll be out at BookPeople in Austin tonight to grab my copy and listen to three of the authors (Gabino, Meg and Cargill) talk a little about their tales. Come on out. 7 pm.

Proud of the Texans fighting this unconstitutional gerrymandering that would remove me from my proper voting district removing mine and my neighbors voice in representation.

Michael Madsen was a cool motherfucker and a damn good actor. Here, we’re talking about being star struck by Nancy Allen who was just across the way. RIP to a legend.

I had the opportunity to meet the always amazing Patricia Arquette over the weekend. I praised her as one of the first to break the old film to TV barrier and do it with aplomb. She praised me for my ability to over praise others; an absolute delight.

Just finished a read of George Orwell’s Animal Farm. You might remember that it’s ostensibly a fable about the dangers of Stalinist communism, but was really a treatise and satirical warning about totalitarianism as a whole. It reads like a sad blueprint of what’s happening now.
