The problem is we seem to believe in democracy to a dogmatic decree that we're unwilling to work to improve it and cut out loopholes. Sadly some are taking advantage of these loopholes and are actively undermining democracy the world over. The rise of the far right and populism is the result.

Most of my life I was sceptical of democracy as a form of government. When I finally realised it's the best we have, the world has gone into an era of undermining democracy.
