I’d be interested to know if given the history of Texas & it being “taken” by war from Mexico how USA would feel to be now told they have to give it back.

I’d be happy to see the back of BBC NEWS & Politics other than the World Service. But drama documentaries & music on tv & radio are all pretty decent & no adverts so a joy.

Can you imagine what could happen to 🇬🇧 expats/immigrants in EU if they take the same approach - where will they put all the pensioners from Benidorm etc.? I’ll be mightily pissed if my French residency is taken away.

I thought you could only gift £3k per year- this house was apparently £900k. How do they get round that - appreciating that IHT only applies at death but he’s at that age is a smoker & extremely wealthy so it’s unlikely he’ll live 300 years?
