i like doing it that way because i have a lot of trouble keeping my attention with structured art especially drawing over and making sketches and i find the surreal almost right kind of wrong proportion and jagged lines pleasing at least to me

but when you draw parallels you can see they're very similar its more the same, put the piece together one straight line/corner at a time. dunno if that helps at all, felt kind of ranty and nonsensical but basically i create impressions with line and then add around it to create a picture in my head

when i first really started off i began very geometrically, lines and corners as i found it easier and i liked how shapes come together, like cutting out construction paper with my pencil. of course a lot of my mspaint works are done with mouse so i cant really just ask you to magically learn mouse-

im happy to hear that! its very difficult to say exactly how i do my art because i dont use any presketches or outlines, i have an idea of what i want the art to be and i draw it, erasing what doesnt "match the picture" in my head. i usually start on the features of the face and draw around them--
