Local transit advocacy wins strengthen my trust in safer streets until I'm reminded that these fucking things are allowed to operate on them.

@seattledot.bsky.social drivers intent on crossing against the red arrow at 12th Ave and Madison regularly block the crosswalk to prepare for their dangerous turn on forcing WB/EB peds on Madison into dangerous traffic. Please add NTOR signs.

@seattledot.bsky.social the cars turning against red arrow at NB 12th onto Madison put right of way cyclists in danger. Plus cars that ARE making the dangerous turn on red are driving right into pedestrians crossing north/south just to the right of where this is filmed. Please instal NTOR signage.

Paint doesn’t account for bad behavior @seattledot.bsky.social

Like E John St and Broadway, drivers use space meant for daylighting ped traffic to queue for illegal turns against red lights.

Drivers will just use this as a turning lane (and delivery zone). Bollards plz.

I'm smitten with Victoria's bike infrastructure. Sensible protections seem to exist beyond the obvious tourist centers. They've even built bike parking facilities and public dining areas right within PBLs serving as double duty for traffic calming! Are we taking notes, @seattledot.bsky.social ?

Hey @seattledot.bsky.social are there plans to build a safer crossing for pedestrians at 12th Ave and E Alder? These lovely curb cuts indicate a place to cross but drivers (encouraged to speed here) do not stop here. It’s a death trap especially for our most vulnerable road users.

The PBL on Broadway between Howell and E Denny is currently blocked by a private contractor’s vehicle. I tried to reason with the driver but apparently he “has no choice.” That’s just not true.

@wsdot.wa.gov plz don't reopen I-5.

We'd rather save this corridor for an urban forest, a generous bike path, and a pedestrian esplanade. Just let us live, bro.
