I am afraid of what my life might look like as I get older, not because I am scared of disability itself, but because I know that many of us with severe disabilities, live in tenuous systems that do not know how to care for us. I just needed to put that somewhere.

Begging people with these shitty takes to consider that the economic, political, & social circumstances of students now are not what they were when their instructors did their undergrads decades ago.
I'd hope that people teaching in universities had enough education to be this culturally literate.

An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.
