I worked using Holidex at a Holiday Inn, a lifetime ago. A computer system that managed all your bookings and connected every HI hotel in the world, already 30+ years old in the 90s! We used to send greetings to far flung colleagues until we were told how much it cost 😁

In the mid-00s I discovered that a simple large piece of fleece material was a perfectly good scarf and went though a phase of wearing one at basically all times between the clocks going back and forward. Many, many of them were left in random pubs but so cheap to replace!

If he wants all five monuments - and obviously, he does - then MSR is the one he has to try *every* year until he wins it. He can spend time focusing on Roubaix later - skip everything in the spring after MSR to gain weight and work only on power - but MSR will need persistence. Nibali succeeded…

There were quite a few but today’s answer is when Tadej attacked at Strade Bianche. Exactly when and where he had said he would, and the rest of the peloton *couldn’t* do a damn thing. Set the tone for the rest of the year.
