I personally don't mind (aside from maybe a slight eye roll) the blue maga type stuff.
I really don't like the follow farming/hashtag spam stuff but that's just from a platform health perspective rather than cause of the content

I can see what you mean there...
(I'd also say I personally work around it by realizing that the races in the stories are literally different, with literally different physical characteristics, very much unlike humans, but.. it.. is a little problematic....)

Honestly the one we've used (through the agency that owns the zone core (mot terminology)) is the KrakenRF - it's pretty awesome and I'm hoping we'll get one soon

We have to go BDA hunting occasionally to find the ones that start self-oscillating all over our voice channels. It's tons of fun... (it actually is, kinda)

OK so maybe it kinda is? Except that Part 15, IIRC says you may not cause interference to anything and I've seen those things cause real stations to be interfered with (on an extremely local level) so I really do not know if it's legal or not

Like *anything simulcast* is pure....... wait ok so we're timing things on the NANOSECOND level to make sure the radio waves hit at exactly the same time at a specific place so that they do constructive interference not destructive and obtw this is just happening all the time

"so uh the thing is we were trying to figure out where the interference on an aviation channel was coming from and figured out you've got a 5th order harmonic coming from your PC that, via ducting on days divisible by 6, interferes directly with the tower so shut that off now please thank you"

I have like a partial understanding of digital LMR radio which is like cellular if you decrease the bandwidth by several factors of 10 and increase the power by the same and simplify everything.

Yeah, both of those can be considered "wins", I think, because it's leading to excessive expenditure of limited resources for what is ultimately not gonna accomplish much of anything (and in Texas's case, might actually make them much worse off)

Personally it makes my internal monologue skip a beat trying to read it "out load", same as Randomly capitalizing Words sometimes causes my brain to Attempt To Read Those Words as Emphasis Caps
