I have to assume that any Padres fan who was in love with the idea of Albert Pujols as our manager isn’t old enough to drink. Because hiring the guy who kicked our ass in the playoffs last two times we won the division, was not something I wanted to cheer for.
People fell in love with Albert Pujols because he’s Albert Pujols but some of the best managers in the game were scrub nobodies as players.
