since the start of the 2023-24 season, Tyson Foerster's 0.92 goals/60 at 5v5 is easily a top-line rate. Also, his closest comps by @evolving-hockey.com's xG and goal RAPM measures in that span are Aho, PLD, Forsberg, and Barzal

I dunno about the Matheson contract. No issue with the player himself, my issue has always been him getting Makar/Heiskanen-levels of minutes. Even this year, with Hutson in Year 2, Dobson acquired, and a full season of Carrier, Matheson is still top-10 in minutes per game league-wide

I don't know how much is/is not on the coach, but I'm not sure how Knoblauch is still the Edmonton coach by the weekend. Re-watching parts of last night's game and I don't remember seeing a supposed Cup contender be so disinterested in playing hockey.

Over Edmonton's last 10 games, they are +5 by 5v5 goal differential when they have at least one of, if not both of, Ekholm and Bouchard on the ice
When both are off the ice at 5v5, Edmonton has a -18 (!) goal differential, being outscored 24-6.

at least so far, think I had a pretty good read on most of my preseason fantasy taeks - Anaheim, San Jose, Boston, Islanders, and Carolina undervalued - but man has Dallas been a massive miss for me. Didn't like their values at all and JRob, Johnston, and Heiskanen are unstoppable.
