Although I do feel a bad taste in my mouth after saying that cause feel it's that rabbit hole of "we shouldn't have paid devs just get fan slave labour to make things" gamer anti-worker thought. Keep the devs, sack all the managers and producers and Todd himself

I tried the Oblivion remaster on my LeGo and it's motivated me to buy the original and beautify it with mods. Modders do what Bethesda can't.

F4SE needs to be installed manually - basically extract the main files into directory with fallout4.exe and use ModManager2 to launch the game.
You also need Protontricks to install the missing DirectX June 2010 dependency to ModManager2's proton prefix

Yee apologies for the fact it's video but found this worked very well, www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5ra...
- Download ModOrganizer 2, install and run under proton in Steam
- Create instance for Fallout 4 and point to install (for Steam, Fallout 4 folder in steamapps/common)

I also can't wait for the Fallout 4 New Vegas mod to finish as F4's gunplay and graphics with New Vegas' everything else would be a dream come true. Fuck Bethesda's Fallout 3 remake which will no doubt be full of compulsory Ray Trace bullshit to force you to buy a 6090 Ti

I really hate it from a story perspective, it is the shallowest the series has ever been but the gun play is fun and I will defend the anthro deathclaw mod until my dying breath. The absolute best thing to come out of Fallout 4 was Fallout London - love it just wish it was more stable

I would highly recommend installing Linix though rather than keep Windows 11. Win11 sucks ass, its a real battery and power hog and resolution scaling looks like ass. CachyOS and Bazzite are fully supported and give you a real steam deck like experience.

Generally UE4 games like Spyro and Crash 4 work very well though any 3D on it is a battery hog. I've not tried too much UE5/modern triple A but think you can make those playable too - makes a nice 30-40fps BG3 experience and heard good things about Clair Obscura 33 on it

Handheld if I turn resolution down to 1280x800 (which isnt a problem with upscaling and sharpness on 8 inch screen) I can get 2hrs medium at 60fps or 2.30hrs medium at 48fps. You could go higher resolution on low or even high at 30fps lock

Spyro Reignited itself is a heavyish UE4 game but works quite well with some tweaked settings. Plugged in and cranked up its a solid 60 at 1080p for medium/high settings (usually with performance mode/20-25W TDP)

My only wish for this style of device is if they ever included a wacom style digitizer on the screen that let you use pens with pressure and tilt - then it'd be the perfect little tablet and sketchbook and handheld computer.

I will say the only use for rich people is they buy themselves shiny new toys and then quickly sell at a loss to buy shinier newer toys - got this from Ebay for £300ish, nearly new (60 battery cycles and all packaging etc), guy was selling it to buy a £1.5k Legion Go 2

I am really loving handheld gaming with Gamescope - makes a wonderful cure for doomscrolling and love pick up and go gaming. And love that it's a full computer rather than a locked down Android tablet where everything is a subscription based app
