Feels like there’s some tension between the hedonist faction and the well-being advocates at Nespresso.

I’m off out on Christmas Eve to buy a pink grapefruit.

It’s highly likely there will be a film written chronicling the challenges and triumphs of this festive afternoon mission.

❗️Unsolicited Rant:

The Dyson Airblade dryers and their competitors’ models are quick, effective and efficient.

But the unacceptable downsides are scuzzy trickles of water, slippy puddles on the floor, stained walls and general public facility dampness.

Why is no one talking more about this?!

During Covid lockdown, if you had family round on Christmas Day the police could force their way into your home and make them return to their own homes.
Does anybody know if this service is still available and, if so, do you have to book it?

My daughter’s reading The Great Gatsby at school. I asked if she’d be dressing in 20s fashions. She replied that obviously she would, as it’s 2024. I’m so old.

Imagine the lives of the householders of Maidenhead, based solely on the items they’ve discarded over their garden fence onto the railway banks. This is a niche hobby. That last house has disposed of 7 burst footballs and a small pile of snow 🤷‍♂️

The interior design and the architecture of the Silo in the AppleTV series are beautiful. But it bugs me that the walls at the edges of the staircases and balconies are so low - didn’t the mysterious team who designed the Silo even consider important health and safety aspects like that?

Very promising, very atmospheric first episode for Silo Season 2 on AppleTV. Still love the set design (can it even be called a set? It’s so monumental!) and the promise of a whole load of new revelations as the Silo backstory continues to reveal itself.

Left Twitter some time ago, just wasn’t pleasant. Tried Threads but came to fear clicking on anything knowing the algorithm would then send me near identical content for the next three weeks. Seems nice here though.
