It's unfortunate, we loved travelling to the US and never thought twice about buying American products...I would say even happy to do it as we considered our southern neighbors strong allies. This sentiment has been absolutely obliterated.

The train has now left the station and whether tariffs are implemented or rescinded Canadians will not forget. I can tell you that in my immediate circle the sentiment is our dollars will go anywhere but the US... or as long as the moron sits in the White House at the very least.

On a positive note, this shit show has united Canadians of all backgrounds like I've never seen in my 50+ years in this country. Posts, memes, signage in almost every store and full on websites have been created for the sole purpose of educating Canadians of alternatives to buying US products.

Trump will absolutely exclude oil from his 25% tariffs. He knows this will cause chaos to the American people. Our leadership needs to impose an export tax on all oil at the same 25% flowing to USA as a counter...minimum...
