That would make sense
And I understand that for some games there's legitimate technical reasons, but it's a bit of a worrying precedent

Hell when I got my copy of Digimon time stranger, I had no internet that day and I was able to play it no problem
There is an issue of physical games needing downloads on PS5, but it's not a majority of them

To be fair, most first party Sony releases *do* contain all the game data on the disc
Death stranding 2, spider-man 2, Astro bot and many others don't need an update or download to play them
It's more third parties like Ubisoft, Microsoft and EA that require the download for PS physicals
