While organized labor is under direct attack from Washington, we cannot have a passive defense in Illinois. The Comptroller’s office must be the backstop to ensure our laws are followed and a robust audit, which requires a certified payroll, should be done before any payment goes out the door.

Today was a great day meeting and supporting the community all across the state. My team and I started in Homewood for the annual Fall Fest, then ventured to the Burgoo festival in Utica, and ended with a wonderful dinner with the LaSalle County Democratic Party. Great day!
