My wife is a (sometimes) former catholic, and I'm a nonbeliever myself. It always strikes me how, despite us living in sin, the motions baked into her still come back anytime we visit a church (for family reasons usually). It's like a trigger word that's activated when the priest starts preaching.

Probably true...but it's enough for my conservative parents to say "See? Democrats want boys in kids sports!" And the whole argument is lost. Again, I'm not against it, I just think dems need a talking point, or an alternative solution.

I'm all for trans rights and equality...but this is the one issue that always destroys democrats. It's easy to say everyone deserves a chance in sports...but a lot harder to convince a parent when there's a trans kid on their child's team this will always be a losing argument.

The guy was in advanced stages of alzehimers...poor guy probably didn't know what to do...thats so sad :/
