On the flip side, sometimes they'll still fail despite burning truckloads of money and effort. Winning even a single election against the establishment can be a crucial victory. Mamdani is an excellent example of this and should be the blueprint going forward imo

Oh they definitely won't like it and will try their damnedest to keep seats and offices filled with who they want and approve of. Sadly they will often succeed in that (like when they put their thumb on the scale for Hilary, and then Biden, over Sanders)

Third parties have no chance due to the system being incredibly rigged against them, and trying to change the minds of Dems already in power will fail because they are complicit/complacent
