Opinion: However you frame it, Valve's ham-fisted ban of an indie darling is another blow for free expression in video games, and this will always be a tragedy.

Santa Ragione's Horses is just one instance of a growing trend - and one we ought to resist.

I imagine they also don't understand why I'm looking at building a Linux machine.

Probably something to do with all the advertising and on-by-default bullshit they the put in their OS and office suite.
Microsoft's head of AI doesn't understand why people don't like AI, and I don't understand why he doesn't understand because it's pretty obvious
Is it really "mindblowing" that people are skeptical of software that consistently doesn't do the things we're told it can do?

Every prompt to chatbot software is “generate me some text.” If it generated you some text, it performed its function correctly. It never lies, it never wants anything, it’s text generating software that generates text.
Not wanting to disappoint you so much that it lies is the last quality I want in a computer.

We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words.

As always, the West will dismantle itself for Israel's genocide. Now the UK is openly replacing impartial judges days before important Palestine cases wrap up, without any explanation or clarification. Any pretense of fairness in the legal system is gone.

A threat of starvation and homelessness, on the back of an atrocious assault on basic legal principles. The utter pointlessness of it too, given that any of their rhetoric would insist that these people would belong in jail, where they'd end up costing significantly more in welfare anyway.
New: 100+ legal experts, welfare groups & academics demand the Minister bin an amendment, allowing police to cancel welfare payments for people who have not been found guilty of any crime
