Also, if there's not a name for a condition then you aren't going to see people diagnosed with it. ADD/ADHD wasn't called that till the 1980s if I remember right, however it was described as early as 1798.

Also when conditions are treatable instead of killing you there are going to be more disabled people around than if their condition was just going to kill them before.

You got lucky then. That's not the normal experience for people.

Don't listen to people who tell you to do nothing. Do what you can. If you find actual evidence that it doesn't work, then you can take action to address that. But otherwise, don't feel like the "small" things don't matter.

Though those replies are signed by staffers. I've also received a reply from the congresswoman.
Now this doesn't mean that the majority of my emails aren't being deleted. But at least some are getting through. But I've still had people tell me that emails get mass deleted and ignored.

What both these groups lack is evidence of their claims.
I live in ND. My Senators and Congresswoman are all GOP. I've got replies from one of the senators multiple times now. We don't agree at all, but I'm still getting through. I've received automated replies from the other Senator.

The second group has no suggestion for an alternative. Frankly, I find them reprehensible. If you are going to claim something doesn't work, then you dang well better have an alternative to suggest. Stop telling people to do nothing. I won't ask you to help. Just get out of other peoples way.

The first group simply directs you to one of the other methods listed. They typically ignore all criticism of their chosen method. They have every argument you could think of why their method works and others do not. They also fail to see the irony that they're all doing the same thing.

I've seen so many people saying:
"Calls don't work they just let it ring"
"Email doesn't work they just mass delete the messages"
"Letters don't work they just shred them"
"Commenting on their socials doesn't work they just turn off notifications"
The people saying this tend to fall into two groups.

I'm personally a pour-over guy, but honestly I don't think you can actually go wrong with any of them.
