This shows the 2021 schedule. They did something similar with group 1 earlier for men and dance and then groups 2 & 3 later for both:

This shows the 2021 schedule. They did something similar with group 1 earlier for men and dance and then groups 2 & 3 later for both:

They may not have done it last year; they do it when it’s necessary for TV purposes. It’s obviously not an ideal scenario for the skaters or the in-person spectators.
