All of it comes together in a way that gives your decisions weight, but there's enough time that it doesn't feel like any one decision is wrong or overly punitive (so far, anyway). It's a really brilliant way to unfold mysteries in a game in a way that makes you feel like an ace detective.

In the same way I would in a great Resident Evil, I'm thinking about routing through the house--which order should I do things in, because I have x amount of time before a certain event happens, and maybe I want to have the right info before I talk to the people at that event.

And normally in adventure games, I just ask every single question, because that's what you do. Click everything, see it all. But resource management (time) in Blake Manor means I'm actually making decisions about what to ask people about and when I do it. Maybe I'll find them later when I know more.

Something I love about detectives like Poirot or Marple is that they *don't* ask every possible question-- through method, they (often) know which questions are the important ones to ask, and that's what separates them from an average person like me...
