I disagree - I think core skill but depending on your practice challenging to maintain but needs effort. I work in cardiac and last AFOI did was oral with a contained rupture of an ascending aorta. No mouth opening and nasal plus 40ml heparin = ENT once on bypass almost inevitably.

No in-hospital protocol but do have a guideline for inter-facility move prone and lot of same bits applied - based it on some prone CT’ing during COVID experience including on VV. Airway positioning, line position, plans for roles during emergency deprone and leaving sheet in ready to do it help!
