Leaving the boot of our E-Niro open while I loaded it up for a tip run killed the battery and temporarily bricked the car.

Gah.

Juice by Tim Winton deals with the consequences of extreme class disparities. It's a bit of a Cli-fi/Sci-fi crossover and worth a read.

There are various Culture novels (Matter springs to mind) that spend a lot of time exploring how a post-class civilization "helps" less sophisticated ones.

Switched to Deezer from Spotify for various reasons. The transfer of all the music and playlists was free for them and worked nicely. The recommendations algo feels more natural than Spotify.

Only gripe is that the mobile app can be pretty buggy.

Yep, Third Parties and Law Enforcement can check on your sleeping habits.

"Is your mattress a snitch?" isn't a question I ever thought anyone would have to answer.

I'm guessing there is a privacy and data gathering angle to not having an airplane mode for your bed? What a world we live in.

*Tony Blair Think Tank and their political talking pointing generator*

35 to 45 year old farmers, would back their children doing national service, if it reduced GP waiting lists.

Under 17s would learn to drive in LTNs if it supported the UK fracking industry.

While producing solutions to sustainability issues that humans can't.

Or something.

I hadn't considered the API!

That's great news, thank you. I have a horrible suspicion that due to the vagaries of the supply to our village, it won't be possible to move suppliers anyway, but it's worth a try.

Jaap, is there any reason, other than protectionism of national car producers, that my Hyundai Kona wouldn't be eligible for this scheme?

I've just read Juice by Tim Winton and the narrator and protagonist is unremittingly competent at staying alive in a post collapse world.

@parismarx.com Do you know of any small to mid sized organisations that have made the switch from Microsoft/Google to alternative providers?

Looking for case studies to share with the agency I work for to encourage making the switch.

Thanks

"Should it walk with purpose?"

"Nah, that might freak people out. Make it walk like a man who's shat his pants the morning after a heavy night"

"Gotcha"

Time and again though, the folks who had taken the hyper-capitalist € queue looked slightly dead eyed and bored.

Does the lack of anticipation detract from the experience I wonder?

We also visited Europa Park which is blighted by VIP lines.

Not paying extra didn't spoil our experience but I felt like it might have effected those of the people who did. When we reached the front of the queue we were hyped for the ride.

I keep reflecting on how great our trip to Lego House was last month. It was joyful, positive and inclusive.

No preferential treatment, no VIP line to get access to exclusive bins of bricks.

A shared experience with diverse people and better for it.

Ego's?

Increased costs and restrictions via the ZFE-m scheme would help with this. Air quality in the Alps is awful during the winter and chunks of the summer.

Sadly things look to be moving in the opposite direction because populism, ego's and macho ideals are politically more important than clean air.
