The crash happened between 1-2 am UTC, and metadata shows the CNN articles in the viral screenshots were published at 2:40 am and 3:20 am UTC.
NYT published roughly the same time, further disproving the idea that CNN had some corrupt head start.

Nice to see this picked up by Sweden's public broadcaster @svtnyheter.bsky.social alongside their excellent debunk - apparently, a nuclear weapon video from a YouTube science channel has been misrepresented in Russian media as a sign of Western aggression.
