Not really, it’s a game… when you’re making those decisions at that level, you’re printing $. The game is; Can you get an extra 2%? An extra 16%? What if we use this angle? Can we 2x it? It’s about coming up with ideas & pushing buttons. You opening the app and seeing the popup is part of the game.

They’re just doing business… their competitors are free, so they’ve got to offer a freemium.
