But really it was a picture of fascism being saved by capitalism from defeat at the hands of communism, then turned into an asset for what was the old Pax Americana. And that my friends is what I'm trying to argue. Fascism survived because of liberal democracy. Not in spite of it. (10/11)

Because during the Cold War we begin to see the outsourcing of Fascism from the United States to countries under their hegemony for the purpose of securing markets against the Soviets and eventually China. Americans like to wax about how World War 2 was the victory of Democracy over fascism. (9/11)

But the post-World War 2 consensus was that Communist ideology was a threat to the Capitalist world order. This is why Fascism survived World War Two.
