Very sad to hear that #JohnPrescott has died.
I briefly worked with him as a young civil servant when he was focussed on the environment and climate change. He was authentic, hard-working, straight talking and passionate about making a difference.
I wish we had more politicians like him.

I’ve just deactivated my X account.

I no longer even want to “hang around” on a platform owned by Musk.
