It was an absolute honour to sing Sara Cox into the finish line last night at Wolsingham at the end of her second day of her great Northern Challenge!

She is doing amazing things for Children in Need!

For Sinead
Are you unable to eat garlic or onions? Do you have #IBS? Are you on a low #fodmap diet for any reason? Then this plant is FOR YOU!

Often called the ‘beef and onion’ plant or ‘garlic and onion’ plant, the Toona sinensis really, actually, totally, for real, no joke does smell and taste garlic-y! ❤️

Yesterday was the second Songs of The North Sea workshop, which was in Cullercoats this time. Here we are singing a round written by my co-leader, Penny, called Cullercoats Bay.

Please get in touch if you'd like us to be guest leaders for your group!

Hello Blue sky!

I've just Co-Lead a whole afternoon of Songs of The North Sea - North East Folk songs and sea shanties. The event was sold out, and it was soo much fun. Definitely filled my cup.

If you'd like to know more about the workshop, or book us for your group, get in touch!

After rehearsal last night, I took the opportunity to sing Ed Pickford's song, Farewell Johnny Miner. It's an emotional song, but to sing it in our local miners institute just felt extra meaningful.

I am BEYOND proud of all the lovely singers I work with! People from across all 5 choirs I lead came together to sing their way through the decades on Wednesday.

My local parish council remains Lib Dem though, so at least that's something.

Here's a baby elephant to help with the happiness feelings :)
Baby's Day Out ☀️

Tula-Tu explored outside in Elephant Lands for the first time yesterday! Now that the weather is warmer, she'll be spending more time playing in the sun with her mom and aunties.

AND ANOTHER THING...... If a man wants to walk into a female space, for example,a toilet, and intimidate women, or r@pe a woman, he will. He doesn't need to become a woman in order to do that. So that argument is .... Well... Bollocks.

Also, while I'm on, I have never been made to feel uncomfortable by anyone who is trans.

You know who I have been made to feel uncomfortable by?

Cis white men.

My husband has taught human reproduction and development to the Cambridge medics for over three decades. When people start banging on about "only two biological sexes" he starts with "which sex: genetic, hormonal, or gonadal"?

Biological sex is not binary. www.scientificamerican.com/article/sex-...
Sex Redefined: The Idea of 2 Sexes Is Overly Simplistic
Biologists now think there is a larger spectrum than just binary female and male

Just wait for the chaos and confusion of trans men having to use the women's loo!

Bloody patriarchy.

Trans women are women, trans men are men, and non binary folk are humans too. What's so hard to understand?

Great news everyone!! Those in my choirs will know all too well the importance of Kazoo work.

In grade 1 Kazoo, you'll be expected to be able to tune your Kazoo, and learn 3 pieces. A classical piece, a jazz standard, and a 90s rave medley.

You will also be expected to learn 2 scales.

Well hello bluesky. I've not been here for a bit... Life has been a bit hectic!

Been busy organising choir performances, and all the stuff that goes along with that, then band rehearsals ready for our little tour which starts soon.... Lots to look forward to!

Once upon a time, on a Friday night, I'd be able to go out and have a great night, come home in the small hours and eat awful takeaway food with no repercussions.

Tonight I ate cheese and gf crackers at 9.10pm and my body hates me.

Send help.

I've done a big scary thing today! Yes, I know it's only Monday!

I've booked a venue for all my choirs to come together for a performance of songs from the decades EEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!

It all started when I was with a friend in a charity shop while promoting her Durham Fringe show
