Spread the word: November 25 is #ChuckPeddleDay — celebrating the engineer behind the legendary MOS 6502 processor, the heart of so many home computers and game consoles of the 80s. 💾🕹️

If you own a machine powered by a 6502, fire it up on that day and share a photo with the hashtag #ChuckPeddleDay

`store` and `load` implemented, using #JupiterAce code, as it is more robust than ZX-Forth original. This means you cannot load screens from #ZX81, though you could load screens into Ace Forth (if you can think of a use for that). With that done, I can now start coding! #minstrel4th #retrogaming

In October 2020 I released an adapter to use the 8580 SID Soundchip in place of the 6581 SID. Useful to use the other type of SID in your Commodore 64 'breadbin', or with my SID interfaces for Z80 systems (for SAM Coupe and RC2014). Info / Buy: 8580.samcoupe.com

There is something amazing about using a printer to repair a printer. The belts in the original ZX Printers have all turned to organic goo after 44 years, but it turns out you can make your own using TPU filament and a different kind of printer..

I had a PYE B&W TV too, though not like that. I remember it had a rotary tuning dial. My gran gave it me. Used it on my ZX81 and Spectrum. Parents were reluctant for me to plug it into the big colour TV, though I did sneak it down occasionally.

I, like many other started with the good old ZX81, on to a Spectrum and showed some interest in computers at work. Ended up being the DP manager working in an arcane language called DACL and DOS commands, then onto IBM system 36 /38 before getting fed up being inside and left to drive lorries..

I have ported Tree Forth/ ZX-Forth from #zx81 to #JupiterAce/ #Minstrel4th. With no display generation to worry about, #Forth runs amazingly well on Minstrel 4th. It can find all primes in first 500 integers, using Sieve of Eratosthene, in well under a second. #RETROGAMING github.com/markgbeckett...
