It was actually 'Heaven and Hell' with Ronnie Dio that was my introduction to Sabbath but I went back and those first albums were like nothing I'd ever heard...

Definitely remember this. Didn't recongnise 'The Wizard'. I remember one Saturday 'Subdivisions' accompanying "Tonight on BBC1 after the news, we have The Pink Panther followed by Little and Large..." etc. I still enjoy picking out interesting little obscurities being used as backing music...
