Very pround of this fella. Picked up his Manager's 'Player Of The Season' award last night. He's not a natural but works hard at improving his ability. Plays in numerous positions and doesn't give his coach or team-mates any problems.

My Dad is 91 in a couple of weeks. He sometimes forgets things - like where his feet are. Except when I show him this picture of Newcastle United from 1951 and he came name the whole team and what positions they played in about 2 minutes flat...

Mother's Day has rather passed me by for a lot of years, but I was rather pleased that this picture cropped up in my FB memories thing today. It shows my maternal grandmother (bottom left) behind the shop her Dad ran in Middlesbrough. The picture was taken in 1905.
