Charlie Swan would never say that he is the smartest man in the world or even among those considered close, that kind of title is reserved for far better man than him. The kind of men who didn't make the stupid, idiotic, reckless mistakes he made and had for the better part of the over three decades he had been alive. On most days he could hardly count any decision he had made that didn't result in bitter regret lingering on his tongue like sour bile. Yet, he continues to make stupid ass decisions anyway despite even the best friend he's ever had cautioning him rather clearly against it. You see, Charlie has a problem and one might think that the problem was the bottle of whiskey on the table, half empty and the alcohol on his breath. It's not uncommon for a man to have a drinking problem, but that's not his problem. The drink is only there because it's a common premade dumbass decision before he makes the bigger one. Which is a phone call.
