Ask Trump and he’ll say he owns the military so he doesn’t have to do shit. I’d be very curious if the average soldier is willing to shoot a rebel civilian. Because that really is what all this may come down to.

We were great when we won World War II—which was largely because Hitler was stupid enough to fight Russians in their own country in winter—and then we coasted in that for like 80 years. We did cool stuff here and there like the moon landing, but it’s mostly been needless wars.
