Anyone else see Laurie Anderson at the Roundhouse this evening? Speechless with awe. If I said it was an audio visual polemic that would take the humanity out of it. LA smiled throughout, nailing current dystopia, ending with hope & audience tai chi.

Been parcelling up so much recently I have been given my own bubble wrap suit. Apologies in advance if I start popping in meetings. Nervous habit.

Just needed batteries & then technological magic - 50 year old pics not seen for a long long time. Now just need to save up enough greenshield stamps for a slide projector.

Am at that age where the dullest of news headlines starts a long forgotten theme song playing full volume in the specific part of my brain that I had been intending to use for some work today.

These were very happy years for me and I’m finding out in excruciating detail how wrong I was.

I thought I’d share some pics of a few pieces of my very talented late dad’s pottery. I have known these for literally the whole of my life and I love and admire them more and more.

I’ve been wanting to see Manchester’s most exciting band Arkayla for a while. They played at a BBC Introducing event at the tiny Lower Third in Soho tonight and I hope they will be huuuge. Tribal singalong songs, Aztec Camera meet the Libertines meet first album Arctic Monkeys.

No more heroes apart from maybe Watford Borough Council. The Colosseum now reopened after 5 years, refurbished and now a quality venue.

Back in the Bertha DocHouse, down in the bowels of the Curzon Bloomsbury, for bleakly touching documentary Sanatorium, about a huge Soviet era sanatorium in Odessa struggling on through this war with a smattering of hardy guests 🇺🇦

Shocked to hear about Sigue Sigue Sputnik’s Ray Mayhew. I only remember him as a pre SSS teen face hanging around bands with us in Southampton. I hope he loved his life & I’m sad it has ended too young. NB he was a lot of things but one thing he wasn’t, Daily Mail, was 80 - at least in earth years.
