Off to bed before 8.30, with Ibuprofen and a sore head - completed an 11k speed-walk along dark country lanes with no incident, then fell flat on my face and skinned my right wrist running upstairs to the bathroom, FFS! 😳

It’s hard to believe that it's 5 years since I watched over my older brother during his final days (the penultimate 24 hrs of panic & reassurance, the final 24 hrs calm & drifting). Odd to think I'm now 2 years older than he was when he died - finally became the older brother I always seemed to be.

No-one was around for miles when I took these photos of the River Wharfe during severe flooding near Grassington 9 years ago today (the same day Malham Cove became the highest water drop in the country for the day), and I later sustained a bloody leg injury.
