You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are coming to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?

Odds are pretty good….

Had a smashing weekend helping @joewargamer.bsky.social run his What a Tanker game at Warfare. For those of you interested in logistics this is what Joe’s 15x6 28mm terrain looks like in its packed up state and for storage. it does all fit in one car (just!). #spreadthelard #wargaming

What a Tanker Caen 1944 at Warfare show 2025.
Urban tank warfare. You are a British tank commander. If you can’t see the Panzer IV ahead you are already dead 🙂

After a quiet few weeks hobby time I made it to Joy of Six show at Sheffield yesterday. Great to see so many lovely 6mm games underway. Enthusiasm suitably restored! #wargaming

Just started reading this. I am only 100 pages in but it has me hooked already. You can say what you like about GW prices and their game rules and commercial practices but the 40K lore they’ve created and continue to expand through their Black Library is so atmospheric and entertaining.

Douglas Hill’s Last Legionary series got me into reading Sci Fi as a 10 year old. So good. A lone warrior from a destroyed world armed with an indestructible titanium skeleton and accompanied by his trusty alien pterodactyl on a quest for revenge against an evil empire.

@joewargamer.bsky.social Teaching has come a long way from the days of the ‘hedge teachers’. Spotted this on my walk today.

Tonight’s entertainment is a trip to the cinema. I don’t often go but tonight my local cinema are doing a rerun of the original Total Recall. I’m really looking forward to seeing Mars on the big screen 😎🍿

Repost with a favourite book from your childhood.

I loved this book dearly after I won it aged 6 in a school prize giving. Sadly my dreams of being a tugboat skipper were never realised 🙂

Hi Tom. I bought the rules for this at Britcon last year. If you are interested in crusades check out the Outremer rules supplement book.

Homeward bound from Salute. A quick pitstop at IWM Duxford for a tea break and a stroll around the airfield. The Airborne assault exhibition in the Airspace hangar is a hidden gem and includes the original briefing boards for Op Tonga and Varsity.

Glad to hear you had a good day and enjoyed the game Martin. What a tanker makes for a great game to easily pick up and get rolling dice quickly and easily. The chaos is always fun. #spreadthelard

A great afternoon at Herts of Lard. Chain of Command v2 Operation Charnwood Caen 1944 and the British take on the Germans in the heart of the ruined town where an anti-tank gun awaits around every corner. Thanks to Joe for hosting @joewargamer.bsky.social #spreadthelard #wargaming

The Gurkhas and their British counterparts use smoke to cover their advance as a Japanese bunker and squad break cover on the ridge.
