It’s hard to believe but the Auto Club family— mama Porsche & her now 7-month old kittens Ferrari, Mercedes, and Bentley— have had no applications. Not one for any of them. They’ve been growing up together in foster care, shy at first & needing a quiet home. Elkton, MD Apply crits4cats.petfinder.com

Disabled people were one of the first groups targeted by the Nazis.

They coined the term “useless eaters”.

They tested the gas chambers on us.

They knew most people wouldn’t fight to save our lives.

That’s why the President using the R slur is so dangerous.

Trans care saves lives.
A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... & of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

One of the big tidal forces of the coming years is that the baseline reliability of things you see on a screen is going to decline.

I think this has not been adequately metabolized.

This is one version, but there are a bunch of them.
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

Hey.

Kindly reminder.

Content creators are not your friends just because you like their work. You do not know who we are.

This goes double for anyone under 18; be very careful about interacting with adults.

If any adult makes you feel uncomfortable, DO NOT ENGAGE THEM. RUN.

Why am I so against generative AI in games?

Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

i feel so bad for artists who now have to deal with accusations that their work is ai

Its so demeaning to the life of work they put into their art, and it must suck to have to argue that your work is in fact your own.

If you can draw, that's really cool, I think you are great.

The value of reading history is you know that in 1860 there were abolitionists who were so demoralized that they thought chattel slavery would be permanent. 5 years later those still alive had lived to see its end.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.
