This heron print was initially going to be in the same style as my other birds (black and white printed on leaf paper) but I've been getting the urge to get back into multi color reduction prints. This is my initial attempt to add some color into the sketch

Think I might have solved my issues with printing my 'Judith Slaying Holofernes' print! Do any printmakers here have experience dampening their paper prior to printing? I'm using Legion Stonehenge paper and it's pretty thick and stiff.

Think I might have solved my issues with printing my 'Judith Slaying Holofernes' print! Do any printmakers here have experience dampening their paper prior to printing? I'm using Legion Stonehenge paper and it's pretty thick and stiff.

Part of my business goals for 2025 are boycotting Amazon and moving away from unsustainable products. Packaging art creates a lot of waste, so to address that, I've decided to use compostable cellophane sleeves to protect my art. These are from Elevate Packaging and can be composted at home 🌱

I have some new followers (yay welcome!) so I thought I'd introduce myself! I'm a printmaker based in Kentucky. I work mostly in black and white linocuts and am inspired by the natural world, as well as folklore and mythology. I'm also trying authentically incorporate politics into my art 😊
