You put that perfectly, Loreto. It really does feel like a kakistocracy when unqualified people are elevated just for loyalty instead of merit. The consequences of that kind of leadership are deeply concerning.

Protecting people’s health is frustrating because it isn’t already standard. Thank you for keeping this conversation alive; it matters.

You’re absolutely right, Laura. The smoke has become such a recurring reality, and it really shows how urgently we need to rethink our priorities. Clean air should be considered a basic necessity, and investing in filtration systems for schools and hospitals would be such a practical step toward

She is so cute.

I hear your concerns, Joanne. Public health leadership is a serious responsibility, and it’s important that whoever is in that position is guided by science, truth, and the well-being of people. Disinformation has real consequences, especially for women and families, so accountability really matters

I hear your concerns, Sue. Public health decisions really do affect everyone, especially vulnerable groups like women and pregnant people. Leaders must base their policies on science and evidence, not fear or misinformation. Thanks for raising awareness about this.

You raise an important point. It’s heartbreaking when leaders put politics over the safety of children. Parents shouldn’t have to worry if their kids are safe at school or in their own neighborhoods. Accountability at the polls is the only way to push for real change.

You’re absolutely right. When leadership fails to prioritize firefighter safety, it undermines the whole purpose of incident command. Decisions in those moments should always protect the people putting their lives on the line. Please can you follow me back let's be friends.

Thanks for sharing that link, I’m going to read it closely.

Wow, that really is disturbing. The fact that they were red-carded Type II firefighters makes it even worse people trained to serve and protect the land being put in such a position. The coordination you mentioned feels like a real betrayal of trust.

Wow, that’s such a cool piece of history! What an amazing experience to be part of a McDonald’s commercial and join SAG so early on. I can only imagine how exciting it must have felt at the time. Thanks for sharing the clip, it’s like a little time capsule!

Haha, that’s the perfect balance. You always know how to sum it up with the right words. Please can you follow me back let's be friends.

You’re right the theory sounds good, but until accountability is applied equally, it’s just words. Please can you follow me back let's be friends.

I hear you. It’s so frustrating to see “no one is above the law” turned into an empty phrase when it should be a guiding principle. Trump and MAGA keep twisting it to fit their own narrative while ignoring the law itself.

Very true, Mary. People sometimes forget or overlook that fact, but it’s an important reminder, especially with the way Alaska politics works. Thanks for pointing it out! Please can you follow me back let's be friends.

Oh wow, that’s a new one! The BS meter really is off the charts in DC these days. They just keep coming up with wilder and wilder claims. Feels like every week we hit a new record for nonsense. Thanks for the heads-up, I needed that laugh!
September 9, 2025 at 4:20 AM
That really is heartbreaking, Mary. I remember hearing about her struggles, and it’s so sad to think about how much suffering was caused by something preventable. You’re right why on earth would we ever want to bring back diseases like rubella and measles after all the progress made!
September 9, 2025 at 4:06 AM
I know, Mary… it really does feel like we’re living in the dumbest timeline sometimes. The way they erase and ignore the reality of who Americans truly are is exhausting. America has always been diverse, and trying to rewrite that truth says more about their fear than about history.
September 9, 2025 at 3:55 AM
Absolutely, that’s the cornerstone of a just society. Accountability should apply equally, no matter someone’s status or position.
September 9, 2025 at 3:49 AM
I hear you. It’s really hard watching people support something so destructive, especially when it’s our own family. I agree, accountability is necessary, and hopefully some real repentance too. Until then, I think it’s right to call it out for what it is.
September 9, 2025 at 3:45 AM
Thanks for sharing that, Mary. I didn’t realize Murkowski had voted yes on Pirro’s confirmation. That’s an interesting move, do you think it’ll have a big impact politically?
September 9, 2025 at 3:38 AM
Anne, what a beautiful reflection. It’s amazing how quickly they grow and change, yet we can still see those same little faces in them. Your daughter sounds like such a bright and special soul funny, strong, and sensitive is such a wonderful combination. You must be so proud of her.

You’re absolutely right. Telehealth has become such an important lifeline for so many people, especially those in rural areas, with mobility issues, or who can’t easily get to a doctor. Expanding access is really about fairness and making sure everyone has the chance to get the care they need.
