I’m mourning what The Hobbit could have been in del Toro’s hands, god damn

I really missed this style of film, I want to go back and rewatch Crimson Peak, Pan’s Labyrinth, and The Shape of Water now

Elizabeth was just beautiful, such an enchanting character and performance. I love how elements of insects played into all of her outfits and even her hairstyles and the way that she moved, she really felt otherworldly herself.

I love how humanized every single creation was, especially the one that was just like a head and an arm nailed to a slab of wood. You really felt for that poor disoriented being. It was immediately apparent how blind Frankenstein was to what he was actually doing, what it meant.

I just remember how annoying it was when fans of *that ship* played into this reading like it was some kind of trump card. Like how could Anduin ever be gay for a man who caused such destruction when he could instead be in love with a woman who is a backstabbing kingslayer lol

I’m so baffled by his exclusion from this expansion. It also would’ve given the game a chance to show some of his remorse over what happened with Garrosh and make that struggle clearer

Why is he being treated like he was on planned sick leave or taking a sabbatical lmao

Even King Anduin having to struggle a bit and actually work to restore his reputation and earn back the trust of his people, particularly some of the other leaders of the Alliance or the night elves, would give it a little *something* my god, like there should be consequences for what he did

But they don’t really do that anymore. War hawks like Genn and Turalyon are softened, everyone kind of just gets along with each other now, especially on the Alliance side, there isn’t that contrast that makes for interesting character interactions and can spur subplots
