I'm really proud of this novel. It has been in a lot of promos and the ARC was downloaded over 900 times. That was a good experiment; it beat the 1% of readers leave reviews metric (~1-10% is average I think, depending on how engaged your readership are), and it sits at 20 reviews on GoodReads!
This is at least the fourth story I've seen of an author having to exchange multiple emails (over 20) with this publisher to get the contract language to not be rights grabby and it's one of three where the writer walked away.
I appreciate the effort and transparency but I will also say-
