@mayintoronto Smart. That reminds me of the transit cards that worked with taxis in China. (I’m sure that was a not-only-China thing.) We were advised to put a sticker on our cards so that the cabbies wouldn’t swap them with cards that had no money on them.

This is not a new feeling. It has felt like I’ve been disqualified for being on the wrong side of an age requirement my whole adult life.

I can’t pass for younger than my age, but I can definitely pass for older. I once considered putting that I was 50 on my online dating profile (I’m currently 47). That feels just as dishonest as having a lower age, but maybe if she finds out I’m 3 years younger than I said I am…?

There was an event recently that I would I would have loved attending, but the upper age limit was 45 years old. The event planner, whom I know, never asked me why I didn’t apply.
