Bottles so far is the only thing to mostly work, the only downside really is that clip studio paint takes an age and a half to actually launch after I run the exe and I have to run the exe because it won't launch through the launcher but hey once it's running it runs without any issues so far

I tried doing it through raw wine and also through the wineGUI package and neither really worked well at all for me

I also struggled to get things working right in VMs and Winboat, pen pressure just wouldn't work in either for me

Technically neither? It kinda just... Worked

I don't have any proprietary drivers *or* opentabletdriver installed, I just had to get CSP set up through bottles using this process and it for the most part just works right

Really this is mostly just pointing out how fucking ludicrous it is that one person can feasibly be called a potential trillionaire and how morally unwell a society has to be to allow that to happen

I'm bad at math but Musk is supposedly set to become a trillionaire, a trillion is a *million* million, there are 340 million or so citizens of the US

So by simply dissolving one man's fortune into liquid funds you could give every citizen of the US a million dollars and not even touch the bottom

Newgrounds truly is a platform that I respect a lot with a community I don't

Though that respect for the platform does come with the eternal asterisk that the rating system is dumb and bad and they really need to overhaul how that whole setup works

Gonna be using Windows as little as possible for the next few months to see how things go but CSP really was the biggest barrier for me being chained to windows and it seems like I've broken that bitch down 🙏

The clip studio webapp thing that lets you access your account and cloud storage and the asset store and such does not work well at all

But if I can still manage to get all my assets moved over to my cachyOS install then it shouldn't be too much of a drawback, gotta just work around it

By the end of it I tend to be so in the mood to *make things* maybe inspired by whatever thing I was mentally and emotionally devouring that I forget that I was struggling about it

For me it's finding something completely consuming that I enjoy that I just let myself completely immerse myself into for a long while and just forget for a few days or even a few weeks that art is something I do

Sometimes it's just Book or Rimworld or Anime month y'know

Like it's stupid on its face because it's the one gun that literally shows you the rounds visually so it has a natural built-in ammo count

But also it just straight up looks so *ugly*
